Zinegoak 2014 – There will be a lot of good films, world, European and national premieres, new guest and old friends. January 20 – 26.
Zinegoak Bilbao International GLT Film Festival 2014
Prizes and awards:
- The international jury will award two prizes:
- Best Feature-length Fiction Film,
- Best Feature-length Documentary.
- The audience with their votes after the screenings will award:
- Zinegoak’s Audience Award to Best Short Film, 1000 Euros, sponsored by Euskaltel
- 3 members from Basque Actors Union, will award:
- Zinegoak Award to Best Actor,
- Ziengoak Award to Best Actress.
- 3 members form Basque Scriptwriters Association, will award:
- Zinegoak Award to Best Script.
- 3 students from Bilbao School of Cinema will award:
- Youth Award to the Best Short Film.
- The Department for Social Action and Citizen’s Rights of Bizkaia Provincial Council will award the film (either feature-length film or documentary) which treats the better the situation of human and social rights all around the world. This award, entitled Diversity and Human Rights Award, will be rewarded with 1500 Euros. A jury designated by the Department for Social Action of Bizkaia Provincial Council will be responsible for deciding the winning film.
- The Area of Equality, Cooperation and Citizenship of the City Council of Bilbao will award a cash prize to the film (either it is a feature-length film, or short film, fiction or documentary) which better treats the subject of lesbianism and gender. This award, entitled Lesbianism and Gender Award will be rewarded with 1500 Euros
