THEATRE: Altar Boyz

<p>They are a boy band who sing the praises of the Lord. They are all young, cute and perhaps not that bright. They can sing as well - but they are all not as innocent as they pretend to be. These boys are: handsome with beautiful eyes Matthew (Liam Doyle); great abs Luke (Jamie-Ray Hartshorne); spicy and sassy Juan (Faisal Khodabukus); the one with great pipes Mark (Jonny Fines); and the Yeshiva boy Abraham (Alex Jordan-Mill). Together these boyz perform on the last night of their Raise the Praise tour. Songs in their repertoire include 'We are the Altar Boyz,' which is the opening number; 'Church Rulez,' 'Confession Sessions,' and for the finale it is 'I believe.' But before the evening is finished, they each are harbouring a secret that they've yet to tell the other boyZ. One of these secrets is NOT how Mark fancies Matthew - the whole audience can see this as throughout most of the show Mark pines for Matthew - even at one point thinking he's singing a love song to him when in fact Matthew is singing it to a lucky female audience member who has been plucked onstage.
