The festival - held in the city’s King Street - will see a variety of big name artists descend on Glasgow to perform from 19 July until 3 Aug.

Barclays has shown its support to not just its LGBT staff but also the LGBT community in Scotland. The agreement makes Barclays, which was again named as one of the best employers in Britain for LGBT people in this year’s Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, one of the biggest supporters of Pride Glasgow.

The event will see Barclays’ in-house LGBT network - Barclays Spectrum and their Straight Allies combine as one on the day of Pride and march through the streets of Glasgow.

Alastair Smith, Pride Glasgow’s Chief Executive commented; 'We are thrilled to have Barclays on board as our headline sponsor. We have found previously that the LGBT community prefers to do business with LGBT friendly businesses and by working with us, this creates a positive message for Barclays. We hope this is the start of a long and fruitful relationship between our organisations.'

Paul Burd, Barclays’ Scotland Executive Committee Chair and Spectrum Sponsor, said; 'I’m extremely proud that Barclays is the headline sponsor for Pride Glasgow 2014.
