<p>When the BBC decided to do a remake of ‘Poldark’ their hit TV series from the 1970s they made a few changes.</p>

<p>None that has caused quite so much controversy as seeing Irish actor Aidan Turner’s naked ripped torso in the middle of a field of corn.</p><p></p><p>It’s part of a new trend that is disturbing actor Matthew Macfayden who has told the RadioTimes that Hollywood Studios are forcing actors to get buff for period roles. </p><p>
</p><p></p><p>The actor revealed how his physique failed to impress Universal Studios when he was cast as Mr. Darcy in director Joe Wright’s 2005 version of Pride & Prejudice. </p><p></p><p>He was handed a diet and fitness regime in order to bulk up for the Jane Austen adaptation. </p><p></p><p>“You do the deal and then the personal trainer gets in touch,”</p>
