Synopsis: While Jason’s classmates have already discovered their sexuality, his is just beginning to burgeon. Mostly uninterested in girls, he finds fascination with the boys in his gym class.

Jason Marks is a freakishly smart 12-year-old, the youngest in his high school and the oldest at his Hebrew academy.  His adventures through the next four years in the mid-1960s open his eyes, his mind and his maturing body to unexpected pleasures as he navigates two worlds.

He grows from boy to man, excels academically and musically, and endures sweeping changes in his family.  He experiences real friendship and dismal disappointment, true love and inevitable heartbreak. He discovers the fascinating realm of boys and men and attempts to decipher the reasons why this is a forbidden world. Through it all, he gains an insight and indefatigable spirit that will carry him through the “two worlds” that he continues to inhabit.
