FEATURE: How To Save The Joiners…

Yesterday we ran the story that East End LGBT pub The Joiner's Arms is facing closure and potentially bankruptcy because the Licensing Section is considering changing the venue's opening hours from 4:00AM to 12:30AM.

Well here's 9 ways you can help the Joiner's

1. JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP

Find and add yourself to 'The Joiners needs you' on Facebook so you can stay up to date with the campaign and share your views but please add your friends

2. WRITE TO TOWER HAMLETS LICENSING COMMISSION

Have your say in the appeal process by Thursday 17th October. Send your letter to London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Licensing Section, Mulberry Place, 5 Clove Crescent

3. SIGN THE PETITION

Either head down to the Joiners and sign the petition or go online to https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/save-the-joiners-arms-london-shoreditch

4. GET SOME COVERAGE

There is a press release on the 'The Joiners needs you' Facebook page that will be updated regularly based on the latest campaign stage. If you have any blogger or press contacts please forward it on then tell The Joiners needs you' Facebook page so they can keep an eye out for it.

5. GET SOME CELEBS TO PACK A PUNCH

If you know any celebs or people of media interest that could help by posting their support and/or views to their social networks then let 'The Joiners needs you' Facebook page know so they can utilise their posts.

6. CREATE A FILM

We want to create a showreel of supporters opinions. This will be used to drum up support and make our argument. If you have any video or video editing skills that can help please, please contact the 'The Joiners needs you' Facebook page.

7. APPEAL TO POLITICS

Appraise Tower Hamlets Councillors and London City Officials to the issue and opinion. If you can help in anyway post in the 'The Joiners needs you' Facebook page. They can represent the Joiners/LGBT community and Tower Hamlet residents.

8. SAVE THE DATE
