In the speech Foster said: ‘I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago, back in the Stone Age. People love to preach about honesty, how honesty is so plain and simple. Try explaining to your loved ones after 25 years you are gay. I always thought I could hide this secret. Football was my escape, my purpose, my identity. He said that he chose to wear the jersey number 98 in tribute to Matthew Shephard who was a victim of hate crime in 1998. She tweeted: 'I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you' </p><p></p><p>Later confirming suspicions that she was gay the actress said to E! News: "I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted. I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. He said: </p><p>"My family and friends have known for like three years, I just haven't felt the need to announce it on the Internet," he explained. They had their ceremony in 2012. In 2011, the Skyfall actor said in an interview with Out Magazine: "As an actor you have total rights to privacy and mystery, whatever your sexuality, whatever you do. I don't see why that has to be something you discuss openly because you do something in the public eye. The Prison Break star wrote a statement that declined the invitation saying:</p><p>"Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes," the 41-year-old wrote in a letter to the festival's director, which was posted on GLAAD's website. "However, as a gay man, I must decline."</p><p> </p>
