European Gay Ski Week – European Gay Ski Week, Europe’s Gay Winters Sports & Music Festival, now in our 7th year, moves to Avoriaz at the heart of the Portes du Soleil Ski Area, France.

EGSW is Europe’s biggest Gay & Lesbian winter sport and Music festival. – Le plus gros sport d’hiver & Festival de musique Gay & Lesbien en Europe.

European Gay Ski Week 2015

European Gay Ski Week 2015

European Gay Ski Week will be hosted by the amazing resort of Avoriaz, March 21st – 28th 2015. This is one of the most distinctive Alpine ski resorts you will probably ever visit; perched high on a rocky promontory it looks down over the cliff edge towards Morzine and beyond. Situated at the centre of the Portes du Soleil it falls within the Chablais region of the Haute-Savoie.

The Financial Times (weathertoski.co.uk) has ranked Avoriaz the number 1 snowiest ski resort in France in 2013, with an average of 8 metres’ snowfall per winter. This gives EGSW 2 metres more average snowfall, than any other Gay Ski Week in Europe!

Avoriaz is a ski-in, ski-out resort where no car are allowed. Fully integrated into the surrounding ski area, Avoriaz is unique with its snowy pedestrianised streets, the taxis are horse-drawn sleighs, the streets are ski runs and all accommodation has direct access to the slopes.

Sharon’s set raises the roof every time, each set is unique to the floor in front of her. Berlin Calling

Dj’s Confirmed:

Chris Bekker (Germany) – Special Extended 4hr Set

It was in summer 2001 when Chris Bekker, at that time marketing manager at a big German car manufactuerer, discovered his passion for the sweeping spirit of the Spanish club scene and developed, inspired by the euphoric and impulsive energy of the Iberian island, his own distinctive sound. Combined with the uncompromising sound of Berlin, the on-going and excessive nightlife in German´s capital he had a clear idea how to combine and create his own unmistakeable sound.

Without doubt the well know and celebrated Club-Hot-Spots have influenced and affected his style. These positive experiences can be heard in his sound and mixes. But as an artist and DJ he was always fascinated and interested how to create and influence the spirit and emotions on the dance floor.

Today Chris Bekker stands for energizing Progressive, Electro and Tribal House and personalized Trance vibes. His spontaneous synthesis of Sound elements guarantees an unforgettable musical journey for every partygoer. Legendary sets with DJ´s such as Tom Novy, Phil Fuldner, Moguai or Trentemoeller have further enhanced his own producing style, making him one of the hottest newcomers on the horizon.
