CNN Anchor Don Lemon Comes Out

And we all thought it would be Anderson Cooper.. not !!  It’s the other cool guy at CNN.

CNN’s Don Lemon revealed in a New York Times interview on May 15 that he is gay.  He comes out in his new book Transparent.

The anchor tweeted this message to his 90,000 followers: “wanted to be the firs to share with u. thanks for the support,” and included a link to the NY Times article.

He followed that message up with this tweet: “I’m overwhelmed by all your tweets and support! Hoping this prevents more tragedies like tyler clementi’s suicide. Don Lemon.”

Clementi is the Rutgers student who killed himself by jumping off the George Washington Bridge after a video was released online of him having sex with a man.
