On May 15th, 2014 we invite you to be part of history and participate in the 2nd national Give OUT Day for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer community. Give OUT Day is a national initiative that will engage hundreds of organizations and mobilize thousands of people on a single day across the country to give in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community.

It’s a chance for LGBTQ groups large and small, to work across the wide range of issues and activities that matter to the LGBTQ community from sports to policy change, families to the arts.

It’s a chance for members of the LGBTQ community and our many allies to stand up and show support on one day. It’s a chance to make history. We hope you’ll join us!

So, what is the Give OUT Day?

Give OUT Day is a new national initiative that aims to mobilize thousands of individual donors on a single day across the country to give in support of the LGBTQ nonprofit community. Give OUT Day will be breaking new ground as it adapts a fundraising model that has proven successful for local multi-issue fundraising to a national single-issue focus.

Giving Day campaigns across the country have been successful at raising millions of dollars for local nonprofits. What’s more, this model has proven to bring in NEW donors and NEW dollars, complimenting and amplifying nonprofits’ existing fundraising efforts. More dollars and new donors is what our community needs today.

How will the Give OUT Day work?

Bolder Giving is sponsoring the Give OUT Day and will take the lead in building the giving platform, raising prize money, generating media attention, and supporting you and other nonprofits in your fundraising as part of the day. Working with Razoo, we will create a web-platform for the Give OUT DAY – you can claim your nonprofit’s page and add content to help drive donors to support your organization during the day. We’ll provide webinars, sample materials, and ongoing support as the day approaches.

Bolder Giving has already raised the funds to cover the development and management of the Give OUT Day, so besides the standard admin and processing fees attached to individual donations (in this case, 4.5% including credit card fees), your participation is 100% free.

Why should your nonprofit participate?

Give OUT Day is not only a great way to engage new donors in an adrenaline-flowing 24-hour giving push; it is also a great way to highlight your work to a broader LGBT and ally community.

In addition, we expect that your nonprofit will benefit from participating in the Give OUT Day by:

• Expanding your donor base with new donors and new gifts from current donors
• Receiving media attention and publicity that Give OUT Day will generate
• Having the chance to receive prize money on multiple leader boards
• And increased exposure within the LGBTQ community

Why is Bolder Giving sponsoring the Give OUT Day?

Our mission is to inspire people to “Give More. Risk More. Inspire More.” We launched an LGBTQ Equality Initiative last year to specifically lift up and inspire giving to the LGBTQ community and this Give OUT Day is our newest effort to do so.
