AROSA Gay Ski Week 2016

Welcome to the 12th Annual Arosa Gay Ski Week – one of the most popular gay ski weeks in Europe!

From January 10th to 17th, 2016 the gay friendly resort of Arosa revs up again for it’s lively and colorful winter Pride festival. Each year, hundreds of gay and lesbian travelers gather for a week of skiing, snowboarding, partying and lounging in the sun at Arosa, which sits at the top of a typical Swiss valley just 2 ½ hours from Zürich. The huge ski area of Arosa-Lenzerheide allows participants from over 30 different countries to enjoy 225km/140miles of slopes with fantastic snow conditions and lots of sunny days in one of Europe’s best skiing domains.

Some of the highlights on the calendar include the welcome cocktail party with La Diva Live, several friendship dinners (for anyone who hasn’t already hooked up with somebody at the welcome party), daily après-ski with DJs, and late bar-nights out.  So many possibilities – so little time!  Fortunately, while on holiday you can turn night into day without feeling guilty, or you might miss the classical concert at the village church, the Swiss fondue fun night with moonlight sledging or the “Splash Pool Party.”

Of course clubbing nights with world-class DJs and go-go dancers, the Drag Ski Race and the closing party at the world’s highest White Party, on top of the Weisshorn at 2’653m / 8’704ft are also on the jam-packed agenda.Snow bunnies can discover the vast ski area in groups, with our friendly Arosa Gay Ski Week team, or take some lessons with one of the experienced ski instructors of the ABC Snow Sport School. The breathtakingly beautiful winter landscape in Arosa should be enough to convince even the most resigned couch potato to chance at least one downhill run… Experienced skiers and snowboarders will not be bored: in addition to the challenging slopes of Arosa-Lenzerheide, they can even book a ski trip to St. Moritz by helicopter!  But non-skiers are not left out: in addition to extensive walking and hiking trails, the Tschugenhütte midday rendezvous can also be reached easily and pleasantly on foot!

Arosa offers accommodations to satisfy all requirements and budgets. In addition to our ten participating 1 to 5-star hotels, we offer a selection of private holiday apartments to suit any and all needs, all gay friendly! Plus, the Event Pass Gold, which is included in our packages at an additional rate, delivers access to all parties, après-skis, and concerts, as well as a 10% discount for the ski pass, 20% discount on ski rental, and free sun-loungers deck chairs at the Tschuggenhütte terrace during every day of the week.

Allegra in Arosa to Europe’s favorite gay ski week!

Travel – how do I get to Arosa?

Arosa is at the end of the Schanfigg Valley of Canton Graubünden in Eastern Switzerland, between Davos and St. Moritz. Excellent transport connections enable you to arrive at your holiday destination relaxed and ready for the week ahead. It is an easy drive from Zurich to Arosa by car, and the scenic train journey is child’s play: trains go from Zurich Airport to Chur, where you change to the Arosa line. This beautiful, romantic stretch of the journey takes about an hour and is well worth every spectacular moment.
