Sunday, July 27, 2014 – Starting at 12:30pm at Western Fair Grounds Dundas/Ontario Street – The parade will go straight down Queens Avenue to Victoria Park.

Pride London Festival’s mission is to provide an annual opportunity to generate celebratory, cultural, artistic and educational events which affirm the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, and two-spirited people, and supporters through activities which promote unity, inclusion, and awareness of sexual and gender diversity.

Pride London Ontario Festival 2014It is with great excitement that the 2014 Pride London Festival Board of Directors makes the following announcements based on nominations and assistance from our community.

  • 2014 Pride Grand Marshall is Lori Ward. It is with great admiration that the Pride London Festival announces its 2014 Parade Grand Marshall to be Lori Ward. Lori has been a great contributor the LGBT and London community for some time and it her nomination it was noted that Lori has helped, “many parents of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual persons as well as those persons themselves,” through her work with PFLAG. Lori will have the honour of leading the 20th Anniversary Pride London Festival Parade on July 27th, 2014
  • 2014 Business Organization is TD. TD has been involved with Pride across the country for 10 years, enhancing and promoting an inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied employees, customers and clients. Pride London Festival/Parade has had involvement from TD Employees for more than 8 years. TD’s involvement goes beyond Pride with involvement in the Regional HIV/AIDS Connection through the variety of events including Taste for Life and Walk for Life, and is also a proud sponsor of the London Lesbian Film Festival.
  • 2014 Individual Contribution award is Katu Azzya. Katu has been an extremely supportive member of the LGBT community for years and is often known as the face of London Pride.  She is constantly working to help others in both her professional and personal life.  She runs countless events at various bars to raise money for many charities, including the Paper Kite Foundation, St. Leonard’s Society, RHAC, John Gordon Home, Pride London Festival, and several others. She is upbeat & positive and her presence commands the room.
