Physician Assistant – LGBT and HIV Medicine New York City

Key responsibilities include:

caring for existing patients at sick and follow-up visits
performing and documenting complete physical examinations and annual wellness visits
administering therapeutic injections and vaccinations
reviewing laboratory and diagnostic imaging results and reporting to physician and patients
assisting the physician with minor procedures
providing preventive health services including counseling and teaching
working with the documentation team to ensure complete and accurate records and claims
contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

To quality for this position, you must be Licensed and Registered as a PA in the State of New York, and have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Primary practicing location will be our office in midtown Manhattan, with secondary work at our New Jersey location. Dual licenses a plus, but not required for consideration.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with sincere interest in the health of the LGBT community, impeccable clinical ability, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and HIV health care is desired.
