MOVIE REVIEW: Avengers Age Of Ultron

Sitting in a private cinema last night we were treated to a special preview of the latest Avengers film, set for general release in the UK from today. With all your favourite Marvel characters this is one mighty battle of a sequel that certainly comes out winning.

★★★★

Avengers - Age Of Ultron - MARVEL / Walt Disney Pictures

Kicking off with a mighty battle to secure a new power cell, the Avengers soon realise they’ve released a new power that could ultimately destroy the Earth. Filled with the usual team banter and one liners, the film moves at speed, with epic visuals of battles and destruction of most locations around the world visited by the team of superheroes.

I’d happily see the film on the big screen again, especially in 3D which has become so much clearer and natural to watch. Downside being that during the flying scenes pushing your arms out to pretend you’re actually flying or getting involved in the fight scenes may result in hitting the back of the head of the person in front!

Having been invited by Gillette, who have teamed up with Marvel for the latest film, we expected there to be some promotion thrown in there. It was a pleasure to see a well established and usually serious brand taking themselves with a pitch of facial scrubbing salts.

Repulsor 1 - Gillette + Stark Industries

Before we get to the film we’re shown a short ad for four ‘new’ Avenger themed razors including Iron Man’s Repulsor 1 with ARC Reactor Technology that generates a perpetual energy supply to obliterate face hairs with uni-beam pulse bolts. The ad was too delicious not to share!
