Sick of looking at rainbows and go-go boys? Well, you can rest easy. It’s July, and, apparently, it’s time for “Heterosexual Awareness Month.”
According to the HAM website, the month was founded “in order to give Heterosexuals a voice in the face of growing pressure and indoctrination from the LGBTP community.”
The group has planned a few events throughout the month, too. July 5 was marked as “Straight Pride Day.” Supporters were told to wear black to show their “support and solidarity.”
There’s even a Texas Heterosexual Awareness Month Facebook page. It has more than 750 likes. It’s mostly bible verses and graphics. Most of the comments are things like, “I’m Texan and hetero, God bless.”
The group never really makes it clear what it intends to do, other than promote being straight. But, it does say it’s “just getting started.”
I wonder if there will be circuit parties?
