The glitz and glamour of Mardi Gras may be fading for another year, but that’s no excuse to curl under the covers when it gets cold!

Gay Ski Week QT, the official gay ski week event of NZ, is back again for another fabulous year. The largest winter pride event in the Southern hemisphere, the always-anticipated week of skiing, snowboarding and partying is back from 29 August to 5 September 2015.

29 AUGUST – 5 SEPTEMBER 2015
We are so happy to be getting ready for our fourth year and couldn’t be more excited. Since rescuing the event back in 2011, the event has grown from strength to strength. The Lonely Planet has also identified us as a must-do event in Queenstown. Don’t be mistaken – Gay Ski Week QT is more than just a week of parties. The options are endless in this alpine town from hot tubs and body scrubs, to bungy jumping and other extreme sports. Explore the picturesque Queenstown like grandpa or sit back and relax with a glass of the local pinot noir like a queen. In short, it’s a fantastic playground to enjoy a week of skiing, plus more.

Cardrona Alpine Resort

Their experienced staff will show you around the mountain so you get an idea of what Cardrona has to offer. You may wish to try on one day or love it so much that you go every day! Cardrona will host an intermediate and advanced group from 1.30pm, everyday during Gay Ski Week QT. To take advantage of this fantastic offer, you will need to meet at the mountain base by the rainbow flags. To get you excited about the event, keep an eye on the webcam on their webpage to see what is happening @ www.cardrona.com
