Gay Agenda: Gay Divorce, Gay Marriage, and LE1F v Macklemore

In this week’s gay agenda on CW33, I covered a pretty wide range: from divorce to a Twitter rant.

Gay Texans may soon be able to get divorced. The Texas Supreme Court is set to take up two gay divorce cases in November. It could be months before they decide, but there’s movement. If the SCOTX votes against the gay couples, though, they’ll likely got to the SCOTUS. All hypotheticals here, of course, BUT, one possible outcome is that the SCOTUS or SCOTX could decide that state bans on gay marriage are unconstitutional.

“It does strike me as somewhat ironic that the state opposes gay marriage and, therefore, they’re going to force these gay couples to remain married,” said John Wright, senior editor of the Dallas Voice.

Also, you know how the federal government has left it up to the states to decide on gay marriage? New Mexico is taking it a step further. There, it’s up to the counties to decide, after a judge’s ruling.

And… LE1F says Macklemore and Ryan Lewis stole his song. You should listen and decide on your own.The Gay Agenda airs every Wednesday during CW33′s Nightcap news.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes action from today. I really, really struggled with the intro. I’d blame the producers, but I wrote the copy… Alas.
