Lesbian Political Action CommitteeNew York, NY

LPAC, the nation’s lesbian Super PAC, seeks a dynamic, motivated leader with significant fundraising and political experience to serve as its first executive director. The successful candidate will have experience leading an enterprise through strategic change and attracting the financial and human resources necessary to implement those strategies. By expanding LPAC’s political, fundraising, and policy reach, the right candidate will drive LPAC to the next level, firmly establishing its status as a leading LGBT PAC and a voice for lesbians in American politics.

Executive Director Lesbian Political Action Committee

LPAC was formed in July 2012 by a group of committed activists and donors. After decades of being a small subset of players in women’s and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights, lesbians needed a vehicle to positively influence the current political and social landscape. LPAC has emerged to get lesbians and our allies organized like never before. Our one aim remains to give lesbians a real and meaningful voice in politics.

Since its launch, LPAC has raised over $1 million to elect candidates and support campaigns that embody LPAC’s values. LPAC receives donations at many levels, a majority of which come from grassroots donors contributing under $100. Unlike other Super PACs that are funded by a few wealthy individuals, LPAC is a political movement bolstered by many.

In addition to targeted political work, LPAC also works to transform policy, tackling the myriad challenges facing lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LBT) women today. In 2013, LPAC hosted its first annual Summit in Washington, D.C., bringing together over 100 LPAC supporters, prominent politicians, and advocacy heads to address policy issues central to LBT women and our families.

This is just the beginning. LPAC has learned that our targeted, state-by-state approach produces real results. And LPAC’s growth in size, influence and resources over the past two years has demonstrated that our community can and will meaningfully impact the political process.
