‘Ex-Gay’ Begins 10-Day Campaign to End ‘Homo-Fascism’

‘Ex-gay’ Douglas McIntyre is mad as h**l. (He won’t curse, so you’ll need to fill in the blank.)

He’s mad about ‘SheZow,’ the new gender-bending superhero by The Hub. He’s mad that “Ex-Gay Pride Month” was cancelled. He’s mad that some states outlaw gay conversion therapy.

And he’s taking his anger on the road. McIntyre kicked off a 10-city tour Sunday in Dallas, called “Grandpa Goes to Washington.” Along his route: Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Richmond, and Washington D.C.

McIntyre says he’s going to do media interviews and hold rallies in church parking lots along the way. He wants to put an end to “homo-fascism,” which he defines as “the bullying from gay activists who say only one viewpoint on homosexuality can be tolerated.”

“Enough is enough is enough. We will not tolerate these lies being spread anymore to our children and our rights as parents and grandparents being taken over by the government and the public school systems of the United States. We want to fight this now,” said McIntyre, executive director of Homosexuals Anonymous.

Homosexuals Anonymous describes itself as “the oldest and longest-running organization in the world helping individuals with unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA) leave homosexuality.”

According to the American Psychological Association (APA), such treatments are ineffective and harmful. The APA says gay conversion therapy can result in “intimacy avoidance, sexual dysfunction, depression, and suicidally.”

Also from the APA, which does not identify homosexuality as a mental disorder:

“Psychologists understand that same-sex attractions, feelings, and behavior are normal variants of human sexuality and that efforts to change sexual orientation have not been shown to be effective or safe.”
