Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager Job

 

The Role

Bloomberg’s Diversity and Inclusion team is looking for a D&I Program Manager. We are seeking a creative and ambitious individual who can help to drive, design and deliver strategic D&I initiatives. We are seeking a self-starter with a strong client focus and outstanding critical thinking and communication skills. In addition, the individual should have strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills; a high level of professionalism regarding sensitive subjects and data; and an ability to work in a fast-paced, high change environment. The responsibilities may include:

-Being a thought partner on the strategy and vision for Diversity & Inclusion, providing guidance and consultation to HR partners, business leaders, managers, and employees
-Ability to formulate and execute innovative and customized enterprise-wide or department-specific diversity strategies and tactics that result in driving action and change in the organization
-Collaborating with HR team members to help integrate diversity and inclusion across all HR functions, working closely with the HR business partners and teams
-Conducting on-going research on demographic trends and best practices, identifying and recommending strategies for enhancing diversity and inclusion efforts
-Contributing to diversity education efforts, including the development of new training, tools and resources to continue to develop and enhance diversity leadership and cross-cultural competency
-Contributing to the diversity and inclusion communication and branding strategy, including design/development of content for a diversity web site, and eventual integration into social media platforms
-Building and managing relationships with key external diversity organizations and vendors
-Working closely with the recruiting team and HR Business Partners to develop innovative diversity recruiting strategies and programs
-Collaborating with the Sustainability, Philanthropy and Engagement, and Wellness teams to execute a social impact agenda
-Reviewing and evaluating requests for corporate sponsorship and donations to diversity organizations
-Consulting with entry and experienced level recruiting teams to identify business representatives to serve as speakers, panelists and interviewers, and coordinate Bloomberg’s participation at diversity-based events
-Analyzing data and trends in organizational diversity metrics
-Serving as the key liaison to Bloomberg Communities (Women, LGBT, Black, Veterans, etc.)
-Ability to work productively and effectively in a fast past, stressful, demanding and ambiguous work environment


Qualifications – 

-Bachelor’s degree required with at least 5 years preferred experience in diversity and inclusion
-Subject matter expert in diversity management or related field; viewed as a thought leader
-Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute a strategy
-Strong consultative skills and ability to influence change
-Superior project management skills and an ability to juggle multiple programs
-Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
-Self-directed and able to implement complex work plans with minimal supervision (takes initiative)
-Analytical skills, including experience in analyzing and interpreting numerical data, and translating analyses into meaningful recommendations and next steps
-Innovative, solutions-focused individual, with ability to turn ideas into action
-A strong team player who works collaboratively and is a skilled relationship manager
-Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Power Point and Excel
