Callen-Lorde is seeking an experienced, dedicated Dentist to join our team as our Clinical Director of Oral Health. This role is responsible for the clinical leadership and oversight of the Dental Department. The Clinical Director supervises the dentists and oral hygienists, oversees the quality of dental care provided to patients, monitors productivity and quality indicators, and participates in the operational and administrative management of the Dental Department. In addition the Clinical Director provides oral health care, on a part time basis to a diverse patient population, including those living with HIV. In this role you will perform routine preventative and maintenance dentistry, as well as some complex treatments for advance oral diseases and injuries of teeth and gums.

The Dental Clinic is open Monday through Saturday. Some evening and weekend coverage is required. Salary will depend on experience and will be accompanied by an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid time off and 403B plans.
Qualifications
- New York State Licensure and current New York State Registration, DEA Certification required.Prior Supervisory experience strongly preferred including performance management of staff and administrative functions of running a clinic.
- Advanced knowledge of billing practices and establishing clinical protocols.
- A minimum of three years clinical experience providing care to diverse and underserved populations.
- Commitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde and community based health care services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of LGBT health related concerns.
- Excellent computer skills (MS office) and knowledge of electronic dental records software (Nexgen).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
