Anton Leuba – Kickin’ & Screamin’

(GayWebSource.com – Gay News & Press Network) – Posted by mysocalledgaylife.com

The first single off the EP is Kickin’ & Screamin’ and the video you can see below.

Anton Leuba said to MySoCalledGayLife.co.uk : “When I started working on this EP I wanted to make a record that the fourteen year old me would have been able to seek comfort in. When I was fourteen I had a raging war inside, all I wanted was to be ”normal”, and I could not accept the fact that I was gay. So naturally I wrote songs about escaping reality, and the freedom and consequences of being true to who you really are.”

Man Meadow – Take It (All) Off

(GayWebSource.com – Gay News & Press Network) – Posted by mysocalledgaylife.com

I’m sorry to say it again, but I got the soft spot for Swedish men and now I can’t get enough of Man Meadow. The group are made of these two hunks : Niklas Vestberg and Fredrik Olofsson that comes from Stockholm, Sweden. Man Meadow was one of the acts in the Polish national Eurovision Song Contest finals in 2008 and 2009. In 2012 they was one of the acts in the final of Die grosse Entscheidungs Show in Switzerland.

Man Meadow are so popular in Russia so they needed to create a Putin friendly version of Take It (All) Off video (you can see it below the more exciting video below). And of course we have added Take It (All) Off  on our Spotify playlist (3rd place) – yes please follow it.

iTunes : Take It Off – The Pride Edition (Take It All Off) [feat. SoundFactory] – Man Meadow

Get your local radio station to play it heavily and share the great tune with your friends – don’t leave anyone out. So please enjoy the Swedish hunks – I surly do!

Geo Louis – HIM

(GayWebSource.com – Gay News & Press Network) – Posted by mysocalledgaylife.com

Recording artist Geo Louis, along with Glamoholic Magazine, premiere his debut music video for his pop hit “Him.” The video touches on one of Hollywoods worst kept secrets and a very emotional topic many openly gay men face when dating someone who feels forced to be closeted.

The inspiration for this video came after Geo Louis moved to Los Angeles, where he realized there were so many gay artists and actors who still felt threatened by the entertainment business to lead straight lives. After ending a closeted relationship with an actor, Geo Louis realized for him it was more about being himself and doing what he loves, in life and in his career. The video takes us on an emotional journey with a boy who finds himself engulfed in a relationship with a guy who publicly leads a straight life.

About Geo Louis

Geo Louis is a New York born Recording Artist based out of Los Angeles, CA. He is amongst the few talented gay artists to make a musical splash. His debut, “HIM,” is a new taste of openly gay pop music. He began recording music at age twelve and got his start performing at clubs in and around New York City.

Geo Louis has recently been featured in two interviews for Glamoholic and Get Out Magazine, where he gives us more insight on his new single and video “HIM.” He is currently working on a full EP slated to follow the release of his debut song & video.
“HIM” available on iTunes.

Naked Highway – “Cannibal”

(GayWebSource.com – Gay News & Press Network) – Posted by mysocalledgaylife.com

Whilst staying true to their electro/dance music roots, Naked Highway dips into its bag of tricks ‘n’ treats to amp up the guitars for their first Halloween-themed single. Directed by Adam Peditto, the video depicts a dinner party gone horribly wrong – as the guests find out that they themselves are on the menu!

Group founder Sy Boccari says, “Growing up, I was a Goth so it’s fun to draw upon that as the inspiration for this video. ‘Cannibal‘ is also our first PG-13 music video in quite some time, but it’s still distinctly Naked Highway – we’re still campy and as over-the-top as we ever were! We also want to work outside of a strict electronic music realm. It’s fun to make some guitar noise – and it still has our signature sound and humor all over it!”

The duo spent the summer promoting their first-ever iTunes charting single “Off Ya Clothes,” and producing remixes for Australia’s dance floor powerhouse Parralox. Naked Highway also contributed music to the Australian web drama The Horizon (25M+ YouTube views & counting) and also produced the theme to Willam Belli’s (of RuPaul’s Drag Race) new web series Paint Me Bitch.

As a live act, Naked Highway has performed at Sonar Festival (Barcelona), CMJ (NYC), North By Northeast (Toronto), Miami Winter Music Conference, as well as on tours across the North America and Europe.

Kerri Watt – Who’s Lovin’ Me Now?

(GayWebSource.com – Gay News & Press Network) – Posted by mysocalledgaylife.com

Built around Kerri’s strident acoustic guitar, with punchy drums, a handclap breakdown and impressive soulful vocals, ‘Who’s Lovin’ Me Now’ is a feel good slice of California inspired pop/rock. Complete with a big radio friendly chorus and catchy lyrics, it’s the kind of song that already sounds like a classic, thanks to Kerri’s appreciation of classic pop.

‘I love music with big anthemic choruses, the songs that get your feet stomping, and that an audience can really get involved in. That’s what I’m aiming for.’ And the song’s meaning? ‘It’s about trying and failing in short term relationships.’ says Kerri candidly. ‘About knowing what you want and not giving up in looking for love.’

Elsewhere on the EP, don’t miss the bluesy ‘Pirate Man’, about a friend taking risks, and the heartfelt acoustic ballad, ‘So Crazy,’ both showcasing Kerri’s eclectic range.

With influences as varied as Fun, Train, Sheryl Crow and Katy Perry, to legends like The Stones, Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury, Kerri takes inspiration from her heroes in terms of both song writing and performance. A confident live artist, who can boast some impressive gigs of late, including LA’s Whiskey A Go Go, Glastonbury, Dot-to-Dot Festival and Camden Rocks, for Kerri performing is the heart and soul of what she does; “It’s why I do this. To be on stage, entertaining and engaging with people. I look at the greats and want to emulate some of that stage presence, although my stage personality isn’t quite as extreme as Mick Jagger or Freddie Mercury!’

Kerri was born and raised in Milngavie, just outside Glasgow. A music fan from an early age, thanks to her parents playing Michael Jackson’s Bad on repeat, Kerri starting singing and playing piano at school. She was competing in regional dance shows by the age of 8, and by the time she went to secondary school knew she wanted to pursue a career in the arts. At 16 she convinced her parents to allow her to audition for a theatre school in California. She won a place and moved to Dana Point, Orange County for a year – the start of a love affair with California.

Returning to the UK she studied musical theatre in London for 3 years before working in a touring musical with Marti Pellow. ‘It was great to be working so soon after graduating, but I kind of fell into it, and my heart wasn’t in it. I’d been learning guitar and was itching to be performing my own music, I knew if I was going to do it, it had to be now.’

What followed was two years of solid gigging and playing open mic nights in and around Glasgow, numerous return trips to America, whilst constantly writing and recording demos. Then, thanks to a chance meeting in Ibiza with the head of Propaganda, Dan Ickowitz-Seidler, Kerri started to focus seriously on getting a deal. With Dan managing, Kerri was introduced to The Libertines drummer Gary Powell, who happened to be re-launching his record label – 25 Hour Convenience Store. After seeing Kerri perform, he offered her a deal on the spot and decided she’d be the perfect artist to re-launch his label. Kerri got to work on recording the EP and 3 months later, ‘Who’s Lovin’ Me Now’ was born.

Whilst preparing for the release of the EP, Kerri’s been writing non stop and already has more than enough songs for her first album and EP 2 number, taking shape for release early next year, but for now all eyes are on her debut. ‘I’m just looking forward to finally getting my music out there,’ says Kerri. ‘I’ve been waiting for this all of my life.’

Who’s Lovin’ Me Now?’ is out on 25 Hour Convenience Store on September 29.
