Be Myself CD Single Cover

(GayWebSource.com) Orlando, FL 12/19/2017 Anti bullying song Be Myself
Indie Orlando singer/songwriter recently won Best Song for his anti-bullying dance pop anthem Be Myself in the 3rd edition of the original songwriting competition the Worldwide Music Contest out of over 1200 entries from songwriters all over the world. Be Myself is an inspirational electronic pop anthem about embracing your individuality. Craymo dedicates the song to anyone who has ever been bullied, teased or made fun of for being different.

Craymo is a LGBT artist and was bullied growing up for being gay and also for wearing glasses. Craymo says: “I grew up gay and was bullied and teased as a teenager and young adult and had to pretend that I was straight to keep from being bullied, verbally and physically. I wanted to give back and create a song about embracing your individuality, an empowering song about courage to possibly help those who may be going through the same things with their self-confidence. I want to let kids know that it is OK to be different, it’s OK to just be yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks.” Gary Root, reviewer for Skope Magazine summed it up: “Craymo makes musical magic with a message in this upbeat, dance party with passion and purpose. In music, breaking rules and challenging conventional wisdom are often deliberate efforts to establish a marketing niche, but for Craymo it probably feels more like natural state of mind and being.”

“Be Myself” serves up an inviting pop dance number geared to blending 1980’s pop like George Michael and some of today’s chart topping music like Olly Murs, Will Young, Ronan Keating, Robbie Williams and Maroon 5. Be Myself also won Best Pop/Rock Song in the August 2015 Akademia Music Awards and was a finalist for Best Pop Song in the 2016 Indie Music Channel Awards and finalist for Best Pop Song in the 2015 Hollywood Music In Media Awards. Be Myself also recently held the #2 position on the Euro Indie Music Chart.

Indie gay Orlando singer/songwriter Craymo releases an inspirational new music video for the re-release single of his reggae pop song One Love One World (We Are One). One Love One World is a heartfelt song promoting world peace, equality, love, tolerance, brotherhood and human rights.

With all of the recent incidents of terrorism, mass shootings and senseless killing of innocent people and children, Craymo wants to start 2016 with a message and vision of love for the world. The music video begins with children in Pang Liu Village in China who were taught English using One Love One World as a learning aid.

It is a thought provoking message of the power of a song to change people’s lives for the better. Craymo says “let’s all put our hands together to help make this world a better place for all of us.”

The music video is co-directed by Craymo along with Nathan McMahan of August Moon Productions. The Director of Photography is Brent Reynolds, also of August Moon Productions and was edited by Jason Barnes, all local central Florida film talents. One Love One World (We Are One) is co-written by Craig Stephen Raymo and Brandon Jarrett of Moho Productions. The song is produced by Brandon Jarrett.

One Love One World (We Are One) world premiere music video is released January 1, 2016 on YouTube and all social media.

1-4-3 – Is there ever a right time, to love the wrong guy?

(GayWebSource.com - Gay News & Press Network) - Posted by mysocalledgaylife.co.uk

Set in the thriving and lively industrial city of Glasgow in Scotland. Our two main characters Adam and Josh meet by chance at an audition for a show with a local theatre company. They instantly find themselves drawn to each other and despite red flags from friends on both sides, they forge a bond that would change both of their lives forever.

They realise that what they have is a special connection that no-one can come between or even begin to understand. Not even Josh’s boyfriend, Gavin.

Soon what unfolds in front of both of them, is a dark and twisted world of lies, rejection, addiction, lust and betrayal.

Adair Murray is writer and songwriter, originally from Stirlingshire in Scotland. He now divides his time between Glasgow and London. A devoted LGBT activist, he speaks out often on teen bullying and focuses his songwriting efforts as ‘Jack of Clubs’ on providing an honest voice on LGBT issues, whilst trying to inspire people both within and outside of the LGBT community to be more open minded and accepting.

Some amazon reader reviews of ‘1-4-3′ by Adair Murray:

“great story and title was good choice. The ending caught me by surprise, twist in story that i never expected.”

“Although this is a short novel it is packed from the start. I do not read a book very often these days and this one I could not put down.

It is a very moving tale, very explicit in places – be warned; the ending is excellent; albeit a bit sad, but quite uplifting in its own way.

Always have a box of tissues to hand – it is very emotional.

What does 1-4-3 mean – well you will have to read the book until the very end to find out!”

‘1-4-3′ by Adair Murray is available NOW on paperback and eBook. Available at Amazon, iBooks and all other good stockists.

Jody Brock ‘Phoenix’ The Debut EP

(GayWebSource.com - Gay News & Press Network) - Posted by mysocalledgaylife.com

Armed with killer hooks, immense vocals, and mature, solid song-writing, ‘Phoenix’ is a compelling slice of modern soul, infused with elements of rock and blues. “My roots are soul based, through and through but I love to experiment with that,” says 22 year old Jody. “I think soul music works with so many other genres. It’s exciting to play around with it.”

The EP opens with the addictive lead single, ‘User,’ a heartfelt and frank look into a volatile and unhealthy relationship, complete with an impressive new video, which like the song itself is dark and brooding – using simple chiaroscuro lighting to great effect. Elsewhere there’s the bluesy riffs of the electrifying former single ‘Stormy Weather’, and the timeless ‘Another Dance’ – about Jody’s relationship with his father, and co-written with Heidi Rojas (Cheryl Cole, Little Mix) and Stefan Litrownik. And finally the rocking title track ‘Phoenix,’ the EP’s most upbeat moment.

Born and raised in South West London, Jody was singing from an early age. With his musician father’s music collection to hand, he was mesmerised by the likes of David Bowie, Donny Hathaway, Etta James, James Brown and Nina Simone. “Because my dad was so involved in music it made me want to explore it even more, which is when I found my love for soul music” says Jody. “I built my foundations from the classics, but I was still just a kid so I was also influenced by albums like ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ and ‘Stripped’ by Christina Aguilera. Most of all I just related to anything that had some form of soul and honesty to it.”

With hugely supportive parents, Jody enrolled in the BRIT School where he spent four years learning about music and the industry, alongside the likes of Ella Eyre and Rizzle Kicks. After leaving in 2011, Jody embarked on a music degree, but soon realised it wasn’t for him, knowing his real passion lay in writing and recording. Shortly after leaving he met his manager, who helped hone his sound, encouraging him to write and play live as much as he could. Fast forward to 2015, and Jody has already worked with a long list of established writers and producers in LA and London, including Dre Harris (Dre & VIdal), Drew Lawrence (Christina Perri – Jar of Hearts), Rob Kleiner (Cee-Lo Green), Andy Rose (Allen Stone, Alex Boyd), John Beck (Corinne Bailey Rae) and Utters (Maverick Sabre).

With all eyes now on his debut EP, Jody hopes to follow in the footsteps of so many other BRIT school graduates and is already planning his debut album, but for now he’s keeping grounded. “I’m not in any rush. I just want to soak it all in and hopefully have a great year just doing what I love to do. Work with some more great people and just have fun with it really.”

His debut EP ‘Phoenix’ is out March 23.

Anton Leuba – Kickin’ & Screamin’

(GayWebSource.com - Gay News & Press Network) - Posted by mysocalledgaylife.com

The first single off the EP is Kickin’ & Screamin’ and the video you can see below.

Anton Leuba said to MySoCalledGayLife.co.uk : “When I started working on this EP I wanted to make a record that the fourteen year old me would have been able to seek comfort in. When I was fourteen I had a raging war inside, all I wanted was to be ”normal”, and I could not accept the fact that I was gay. So naturally I wrote songs about escaping reality, and the freedom and consequences of being true to who you really are.”
