The CSD club was founded in 2000 as “ CSD Schleswig-Holstein eV “was founded with the goal in Schleswig-Holstein to establish a CSD, which may participate clubs and groups from around the country. Since then, the club organized the CSD in Kiel and has worked in recent years with the other CSD organizers in the country (Lübeck and Bad Segeberg). In addition, the association actively involved in the cooperation North German CSDs. There is information about this cooperation under www.csd-nord.de .
In September 2011, the club was “eV CSD Kiel” renamed to emphasize the local reference to Kiel.
The CSD Kiel is on the one hand be a public relations effective tool on the lives of gays and lesbians as well as to make their interests, rights, obligations, assets and lifestyle attention. On the other hand, the CSD offers clubs and groups a platform to present themselves and their work.
After 1998 and 1999, the CSD were still organized by the HAKI eV, the CSD Club 2014 will be the 17th organizing CSD in Kiel!
