The Development Operations Coordinator serves as the primary data entry person within the Development Department, responsible for recording and acknowledging all donations to the Center and providing Raiser’s Edge database support to each department program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Batch gifts in the Raiser’s Edge, enter address updates, print and mail acknowledgement letters, renewal letters, tributes, billings, and other department mailings.
  • Complete, record, and track matching gift applications.
  • File new gift batches and archive older gifts in storage.
  • Provide collections assistance to department program managers by reporting returned checks and declined credit cards and contacting donors for updated payment information.
  • Assist AIDS/LifeCycle Donor Services Manager in the planning and execution of ALC Orientation Day pledge office including per diems, shirts, food and perishable supplies, equipment, and staff orientation.
  • Participate in staff meetings, planning meetings and other meetings as needed.
  • Update donor contact information and preferences in Raiser’s Edge and Convio and Nation Builder.
  • Provide excellent customer support to staff members, donors, Board members, volunteers and other constituents.
  • Phonebank as necessary for receptions and events.
  • Assist in financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Liaise with members of the Development team to assist in Action Tracking, Notes, and prospect research within the database.
  • Prepare and submit monthly live check and lockbox reports.
  • Provide staff support at Center Events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities with often competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team and a commitment to achievement of department and organization’s mission.
  • Excellent customer service and phone experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge including word processing, database operations, spreadsheets, and other software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, gender identities, and sexual orientations in a multicultural environment.
